US Waitlist Privacy Notice
Effective date: October 21, 2026
This notice explains how Lodavo handles your information when you join the Lodavo US waitlist on our website, lodavo.com. Lodavo isn’t available in the United States yet. The waitlist is how we let you know when it is.
Who we are
Lodavo Inc. is a Canadian company based in Montreal, Quebec. We’re responsible for the information collected through the waitlist, and our Privacy Officer handles questions about it (see Contact us).
What we collect, and how
Through the waitlist form, we collect:
- your name, if you give it, which we use to greet you in our emails;
- your email address;
- the state you live in, which you choose in the form;
- how you found the waitlist: the page you signed up on and, if you came from a content creator’s link, the name of that link;
- the date and time you joined, as the record of your consent.
When the form loads, Cloudflare Turnstile checks signals from your browser and device, such as how the page loads and responds, to tell people apart from bots. When you submit, our server sends Cloudflare the result of that check and your IP address to confirm it. Cloudflare handles these signals under its Turnstile Privacy Addendum (opens in a new tab).
To limit repeated attempts, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and email address. These expire within an hour. We don’t store your IP address with your waitlist entry.
Our emails include a tiny image that tells us when you open one, so we know they’re getting through. When it loads, our email provider, Mailgun, records the time, your IP address, your approximate location and the device and email app you used, and shares that with us. Turning off images in your email app stops it.
Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- email you about Lodavo’s launch in the US, starting with a confirmation email, and tell you when Lodavo is available in your state;
- add your 100 bonus tickets when you create a Lodavo account with the same email address;
- decide where to launch, based on how many people sign up in each state;
- see which pages and creator links bring people to the waitlist;
- keep bots and abuse out of the form.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use your waitlist information for advertising.
Who processes it, and where
Your waitlist entry is stored in Canada. These service providers process it for us, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Supabase hosts the database where your entry is stored, in Canada.
- Render runs the server that receives the form, in the United States.
- Mailgun (Sinch) sends our emails, from the United States.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, runs Turnstile, and carries your entry to our server, on its global network, including in the United States.
This means your information is processed outside Quebec and outside Canada, and the laws of those places, including the United States, may allow authorities there to access it.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list, which is how we make sure we never email you again. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete your waitlist entry, including its suppression record.
Separately, we keep records of the emails we send, such as whether each one was delivered and when someone unsubscribed, for up to three years, so we can show we had consent and respected every opt-out.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link in any of our emails.
- See, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing contact@lodavo.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Cookies, analytics and Do Not Track
This site loads analytics and advertising tools only after you allow them in the cookie banner. They are PostHog and Google Analytics, which show us how the site is used, and advertising tools from Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, Snap, TikTok and Google, which measure our ads and show you relevant ones. If you allow them, these companies may collect information about your visit, and the advertising companies may collect information about your activity over time and across other websites. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
The site doesn’t respond to browser Do Not Track signals. The cookie banner is how you choose.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If the change is material, we’ll email you before it takes effect.
